USF - 2,500 People?

They really need a 25,000-seat (with room to build in the future) on-campus stadium.

And Charlie Strong is really hampering this team. They lost Marlon Mack, but they have every other player back from a high-octane offense last year, including the best QB in school history. And what does he do? Tries to slow them down and play a "normal" style offense. Makes no sense to me.

It's really bad. Can't think of a good excuse. The summer rain is mostly gone and it's not bad sitting outside at night this time of year.

They are ridiculously undisciplined. I can't recall a team as mistake prone and hotheaded as this USF.

USF is 4-0, in the Top 25 and just won a conference game by 36 points. What am I missing here?

Watch them play. Something is off. Their whole schedule is easy and they will get exposed in their bowl game

I think they're a decently talented team and would be about on par with Louisville in the ACC (so behind Clemson, FSU, Virginia Tech, and possibly Miami and Georgia Tech). But they are SOOOOO undisciplined it's almost painful to watch. And part of it stems from Flowers who has all the skill necessary to be a great QB but is too hotheaded and mentally unfocused to really be great.

The thing is their schedule is ridiculously easy so they might be able to sleepwalk through it. When you have zero ranked teams on the schedule and your toughest game is either the 12th or 13th best Big Ten Team in Illinois or UCF you know you have a joke of a schedule.

Funny, I seem to recall um winning 4 championships with teams that were mistake-prone, hotheaded, and undisciplined.

Flowers does not have every skill necessary, he's basically a WR/RB playing QB and playing it pretty well. Guy had over 4,300 total yds last year and something like 42 TDs accounted for. He's probably second only to LJ in terms of dual threat QBs.

There are very few if any teams in the history of college football with more talent than most of the championship Miami teams. The 2001 Miami team had 17 First Round NFL picks on the team, 5 taken in the top 10 of their respective drafts. Our most talented team imo the 2013 Fighting Jameises have only had 4 First Rounders so far with only two more years to go.

I introduce Exhibit A:

There was no way there was 24,000 plus there last night. Unless they counted the cars that passed the stadium on Dale Mabry.

Yeah, that attendance count is laughable. RayJay seats about 66k. Not sure of the breakdown between lower level and upper deck (which is typically closed for USF games), but I would guess it is 50 to 60% lower, or 35k to 40k. At 24000 the lower level would have to be well over half full, and it was nowhere remotely close to that

Just remembered a couple of radio commercials. The first one is local, for a company called Watson Maintenance. I swear the guy sounds like he has marbles in his mouth and doesn't actually pronounce the "t" in "Watson." And he says it about 50 times in a 30 second spot.
The second one is ziprecruiter.com. The guy who starts the commercial and mumbles quickly like he's some kind of harried executive who doesn't have time to deal with people at all much less job applicants. He comes off sounding like he's somewhere on the spectrum instead.

I think you are doing this thread wrong Bart. The annoying commercial thread is over there.

All they need is a $6MM per year head coach and a 70-year-old OL coach......then they can join the big-time like winless FSU.
