So sad. Iconic figures from my childhood are steadily dying. It's an unfortunate reality that everyone will eventually confront, but it still sucks.

I watched CMT last night because they had a tribute to her. Then they showed Coal Miners Daughter. Sissy Spacek was so good.

She had a big farm over toward Dickson, TN. and was well known in Tennessee. She is from Kentucky and held in high regard in the Country Music Community. She was one of a kind. Sissy really captured Loretta’s persona in “Coal Miner‘s Daughter”and did her own singing. She will be missed and remain a legend.
