what are you getting your significant other for Christmas??

How do you verify that?
It is very similar to this one, but we had a non-paying bidder. I am friends with the consignor and made an offer after sale.

The guy who helped catalog these pieces is pretty deep into the knowledge pool on these and does the Antique Roadshow in that type of material.
BTW, notice the difference in coloration...the one Gary showed is bright, aniline dyes throughout, whereas the older piece has undyed ends.

I have the Navajo rug that my parents bought in Arizona in 1954. Also have the tag with the weaver on it and the original receipt. It is the zig zag pattern, not sure what it's called.

That may be what is referred to as an eye dazzler. Very cool.

Her first Christmas J.

I got her some earrings from Kendra Scott. Reminded that I haven't Jewelry shopped for a woman in a while. Also, remembered why I didn't miss it as well.

Not a thing. We don't really exchange gifts. If you want something within reason go buy it is how I feel. She is getting me the pistol grip semi-automatic Mossberg 930 SPX 12 gauge shotgun though!!!!!

Nice. I like it here. Know what area yall are going to live / work yet? We are off Garden of the Gods by the interstate.

We wanted to be up that way. Or at least somewhere North, it just didn't work out. It was cut throat real estate up there. We're south of the airport. Husband will be working at Ft. Carson.

Got her a purse/wallet from some designer she loves, a new pendant for her pandora necklace, a shirt she really wanted, and a massage package. There's some other smaller things in there, but I don't even remember what they are.

I’m with the “we buy what we want when we want to” crowd.

But we also exchange gifts because we’re a thoughtful couple who pays attention to little things throughout the year and don’t use the “I buy whatever” as a cop out.

We purchased 8 years ago when the market was down. I don't think we could/would buy here now. Going to Ft Carson daily would be a royal pain on the Istate where it bends at Motor City. Heck, I'd like to get a place way south on HWY 115 and get acreage if she didn't have to drive to UCCS daily. No way she'd swap a 2 mile commute for a 25 mile one.

We got each other new furniture...sofa, love seat, chair. All pieces are leather & power recliners. We love them! My husband loves to read, so I got him a couple of books; also, a new cover for his iPad. He graduated from Ohio State, so every year, I get him a Buckeye long-sleeve, button down shirt. He has quite a collection now.

sent her to Sarasota for a girls vacation a couple weeks ago. she said "you don't have to get me anything since it cost us a couple grand for the vacation" but I've been married long enuff to know better. I never shop until two days before Christmas, so I guess I better think quick..

Mine said similar. Pressed n pressed, then she finally gave me the worst list. It included a new waffle maker and underwear. Guess who is making waffles in her granny panties on Dec 26!

Flights are tuff to get right now and it is gonna be hard to pull off a several day road trip for a breakfast visit...maybe next year.
What color are the granny drawers? Asking for a friend...

TBD, thinking nude or off white.

Boulder Sausage makes a orange cranberry seasonal sausage, once I find it, I stock up. That stuff is worth a trip all by itself.
