I know there are a lot of question marks for next years team especially the evolution at QB. But what are you looking forward to?
Offense
1. The running backs: I don't think we have had a better back field at least since Jimbo has been here. Very excited how the offense will evolve with these guys back there.
2. O-line: this seems like a regular thing for Trickett every 3 or 4 years. He rolls out a fresh batch of BMF's up front. Rod Johnston being the latest stub. I have the feeling he could be a top ten pick.
Defense
1. Secondary: this was my biggest disappointment last year. To many times guys just running free wide open. Why much talent to allow that. Still can't decide if it was coaching and or miscommunication on the field. Basically at the end of the day you have to point the finger at the coaches, do they fix that problem? I think a fresh batch of talent will help as well. Ramsey moving outside is ideal for him. I see him as a outside guy that can lock down his side of the field. James seems to be a difference maker and curious to see how early he gets on the field. Who is it going to be opposite Ramsey? White or Green looks like white has the edge. I liked what I saw out of Trey Marshal during the GT game. I'd like to see him at star some more.
2. DE/OLB: I know the pass rush wasn't where everyone wanted it last year. Except for MEjr that OLB on the other side seem to be rotated every week. Thomas, Pugh, Featherson, Casher, and Walker all seemed to play there. I feel like this is a very talented group but no one has taken the bull by the horns and taken a spot. Who will step up and be the next NFL early round pick? I really don't think you are going to see a lot of sacks coming from the DE. I don't think the scheme calls for then DE to get up field 100 miles per hour like Coach Andrews. Not saying that the pass rush wasn't a problem but i feel like it was more of a discipline problem than anything. Hopefully the kids respond to coach Lawling well.
