They open today in FL at 25% sit down capacity.

I have been grilling out so much I have not missed going to eat that much. The wife would probably strongly disagree with that point.:Face with Tears of Joy

What I miss the most is getting my friggin hair cut. I'm starting to look like I'm from the 70's.

We too have been grilling, cooking etc..no problem at all with that...more just tired of cleaning up after

...as far as hair cuts...my wife used the dogs electric trimmer to cut my hair...woof

We had a social distancing gathering at the beach this weekend. It was the first weekend of the year everyone came down to their houses. We cooked steak, shrimp, fish, grilled veggies. It honestly was better than a restaurant. The cleanup wasn't even bad. I don't know of a restaurant that could have been better

Got a rsv for Friday for a restaurant in Tampa called Steelbach. Pretty excited.

Hey now. That had a certain appeal. Have you started wearing Hai Karate yet?

Been wearing out the Blackstone during all this. My house is a restaurant.

I am going to wait a while. I would like to go somewhere with friends and sit down and a big slab of fresh grouper brought to me with all the tea I want, but not going to take a chance just yet. I think the conditions in a restaurant are more conducive to the transfer of the virus than most any where else we could go.

Carryout is still supporting the restaurant. Leave a tip and get out. Works for everybody. What is the downside?

If it’s a sub shop or the like...yup, you’re right. If it’s a restaurant with a high head count, high bar tabs per head/table...those service employees aren’t making a dime....think servers, bartenders, bar backs, hostesses, etc. so the downside is people aren’t working or earning a living. We had several restaurants here that didn’t even bother with take out, it wasn’t enough to pay overhead. Just my two cents....

I’ve been to dinner 3 times now. It’s different than it used to be but safer than most public places. There’s no one anywhere near you.

Gotta meet in the middle. It's one thing to walk into a place get what you want and walk out. It's another to go somewhere and just hang out. It's just not necessary. Like going to a gym to workout. Just why?

I’m good with that....our restaurants just opened yesterday for dining here in Greater Fort Lauderdale. I’m not rushing to go sit inside somewhere quite yet, but the restaurants in our town have ample outdoor seating....the town has really done whatever they can to give these businesses a real shot at getting back on their feet. As far as the gym, My LA Fitness is still closed and our small gym in our complex is as well...so it’s still working out at home and getting in the miles outside daily....no rush for me there....

We had to pack up the daughter's stuff last weekend in her dorm and had dinner out at Auburn. I'm glad we made made prior reservations for they really over killed the distancing bit. We made reservations as normal, and even with a fairly empty parking lot several people came in and got turned away. I would estimate maybe 1 out of ever 6 tables were being used. The restaurant seemed to be fully staffed. You did not see waitresses working the restaurant as much as normal but there were less tables being filled. What I did see when I looked in the kitchen multiple times was the entire staff with the manager huddled together simply talking in the kitchen and not working. Every single person that entered the restaurant had to grab the door handle so we all got germed up real good before entering the premises. I gather most of their precautions taken were under restaurant guidelines but to me they seemed more for show. I don't see this operating procedure being adhered to for an extended period. The fact they were turning customers away with and basically empty restaurant and a full staff will have to end soon. The restaurant we had breakfast the next day was more crowded and I would say there was an empty table between full tables and they seemed more relaxed in handling customers. Again you had to open the door yourself to enter the premises and we got all germed up again before entering the death zone.

I do think there needs to be a public address about how to talk with a mask on for us older folks. I kept having to ask people to repeat themselves, ehh?, and I'm not sure if the masks has that much affect on volume or people speak softer with one on. Maybe wearing masks does have its advantages.

Just had breakfast (eggs Benedict) with 5 other old fart Corvette owners.
We had just done a 25 Corvette parade in front of a memory care facility.
They were all out in front and I think we made their week.

Bonefish Grill. Went there the first day they were open and enjoyed it . We are going out several times a week and have never felt at risk. Go out and enjoy.

I have never seen Saint Augustine this slow in June. Unbelievable. The outlet mall experience was freaky.
