Why can we not use a stronger description to describe DC being cleared?

All I've seen since the verdict came down yesterday is "not guilty" and I get that. I get that he's "not guilty".

Everything I see is that he was found "not guilty" and of course had that wonderfully accurate crawl about how he was accused of "punching a woman in the face multiple times" as if that was the emphasis and not his acquital.

I've yet to see anything that says "he was cleared" or he was "exonerated", or anything of the kind. The continuous he was found "not guilty" sounds to me like it's as if he got away with something.

Call it semantics, or me just being a grumpy bastard, but after reading and following the case yesterday I think he deserves a more strongly worded description of what transpired. I've had it with the lingering implications of guilt and culpability.

FWIW - save your replies about how it's technically correct to say "not guilty". I get that.
