Wilkerson played both TE and DE in high school. We are deep at TE with him being our fourth out of four this season behind Saunders, Izzo and Kerr. And then next year we have Nauta coming in at TE.
No team needs five scholarship TE and we are much more in need of players at DE.
Jimbo stated last night in Tampa (according to a post on this board) that Wilkerson could play DE. So what does the board think? Any insiders know about this?
He redshirted last season as a true-FR but worked out with the TEs. But he played both in high school and we need DE more than we need TE.
