I'm not advocating one way or the other here but was curious how everyone would react if we were to sell the naming rights to our stadium. Other schools have started to do it more and more over the years to get another revenue stream and they're making anywhere from $1-3 million a year with some others being undisclosed (Louisville - Papa John's for example). Some NFL teams get anywhere from $15-20 million/year. I would think FSU could get AT LEAST $3-5 million/year if not more.
I'm sure Doak Campbell was a good guy but does being FSU President for 16 years really warrant being named for something so important for the next 100+ years?
I know the majority of people hate change so I'm sure there would be backlash no matter what the new name is but I'm curious how much it would be.
Thoughts?
