Winston vs Mariota

I can't believe this but the Bucs made a smart hire with Bruce Arians as HC and Todd Bowles at DC.

Arians has a good offensive mind (high risk strategy though), is a JW fan, and has a long relationship with Bowles.

Huge upgrade over their prior staff. LOL at ATL going after Koetter. Smh.

Koetter is highly regarded as an OC. Bucs offense this year was really good.

Winston has more upside now that he has a legit HC.

Put it like this if Winston cant get it to work with Arians after Arians track record with QB's then Winston should retire.

Bucs offenses w/ Koetter as OC weren't much more dynamic. Understood that the OL was always an issue (and WR talent back then wasn't as good) but his post-ASU NFL career at OC and HC hasn't been remarkable.

And in Week 4, Winston was threw for 145 yards and one TD versus two picks in a 48-10 drubbing by the Bears, while Mariota threw for 344 yards and 2 TDs/1 INT, including a TD pass in OT to defeat the Eagles.

That's the problem with both of them, they're wildly inconsistent, which makes it difficult to build a team around.
That's a pretty stupid counterpoint to an argument. The Bears were up like 42-3 at the half before Winston ever entered the game... He played one half and one of the int's was because he got drilled as he released the ball. The other other was him trying to make any kind of play with only a few minutes remaining in a game that was over well before he entered.

You should probably pick a better argument next time... That one was junk.

Lol agreed. I'm not even sure what leads someone to completely obscure context when they know they're talking to people who'll see right through it.

They had one of if not the best passing offense in the NFL this season in terms of yardage. I’m not saying he’s a “remarkable” coach but how many guys are? His downfall this year was keeping Mike Smith and the abject failures of the front office to upgrade their pitiful secondary. He needed to go, but I think he’s got a reputation as a solid offensive mind.
