I admit, I was skeptical at first .
I figured the folks at ESPN were giving us a poor man's "pity" network so they wouldnt be on the hook for a 45,000,000 penalty
i'm not hearing this now.
From what I can tell, the new deal, the extended GOR, even the $$$ are all top tier.
I"ve heard nothing is earth shattering as far as the $ goes, but it helps us to keep up with the Jones's, namely, we know the conference and the school that matters the most as far as direct competition.
I'm happy if we get at least a substantial percentage of what our brothers to the SE are getting.
If ND decides to come on board full time, it only gets better for us.
I for one, will thank Swofford for delivering this. It sounds as if FSU/Clemson/VaTech concerns were heard and the conference is listening to its strategic partners in football, not just hoops.
