I think I am ready to talk about it. . .

I've been through the anger, disbelief, sadness. . .I think I am in the acceptance phase.

My daughter is going to uf.

She has been to Tallahassee all throughout her youth, attending games of all sports. Myself, my wife, my wife's sister, my brother-in-law, one of her cousins. . . are all FSU alumni. She is ranked number 6 in her class academically, and has been accepted everywhere she has applied, most offering additional scholarship funds. Her boyfriend plans on going into nuclear engineering and has planned to attend uf for quite a while. My daughter has decided on dentistry, and. . .well. . .FSU doesn't offer a dentistry program. So, all the pieces fell where they did, and that is her decision.

Obviously, I'm proud of her academic accomplishments, and am happy she is furthering her education, and honestly her decision makes sense. It's the, "Ohhhh, you're going to have to get Gator clothes now" or "Now you're going to have to root for Florida now" from friends and family. No, no I'm not. I'm going to root for my daughter to be happy and successful, but UF athletics can rot on the vine.

I just wanted to talk about it.

Thanks guys.

I still have a son who is a sophomore baseball pitcher, who is developing his changeup and slider quite nicely. . .there's still hope.

Football Transfer additions ready to bring experience, leadership to unproven FSU OL

FSU returns just 24 career starts on the offensive line from 11 returning players. The Seminoles' four transfer additions who have made a combined 105 starts at P4 schools are ready to bring an injection of experience and leadership (if required) to FSU's rebuilt OL.

Question for the board

My sister went to China on a ten day tour in the late 70’s when they’d just opened up and she found it fascinating. The tour group ate together and the food was what locals ate which was maybe soup for breakfast - and they wasted no part of the chicken which meant there were chicken feet floating in the pot. I’m sure that 40 years later menus have changed for any tourists but she’s so glad she went.
Her other favorite was Hong Kong because she was being considered for an assignment there and they paid for her trip. She decided not to accept because living arrangements at the time were of a concern as was a definite language barrier.
I’ve been all over the US but I’m way behind on the international experience.
