If Josh McDaniel did not get some type of under the table guarantee he is an idiot. He will have to wait awhile before someone offers him "another" chance. Some things I don't follow, did he say he was taking the job? I know he said he WASN'T which is what started the drama, but did he back out of a contract or a verbal?
Based on what I read, Colts and McDaniel had a verbal and it got to point that assistants were hired , then McDaniels backed out of agreement after talking to Bill.

I'm looking forward to what Taggart can do with an entire year of recruiting. It was really amazing that we ended up with a top 10 class after Jimbo leaving the program high-and-dry.
Taggart’s recruiting was amazing considering Jimbo’s neglect. Taggart himself said he had to “salvage” this class and that’s 100% true. And amazingly enough, he pulled it off. There’s no doubt he pulls down a top five class next year.
Jimbo is AWFULLY bitter considering he was the one who cheated on us, not vice versa.
