Anybody even been to Pitt? That is our road trip game this year (and the Steelers Thursday night). Just saw we play in South Bend next year. Think we might trek back, but for a win this time!
Been a few times family is from that area. Good food town and they have done a good job revitalizing the area after the steel mills shut down.

The Noles have a road trip to their usual house of horrors this week. I hope we can shut them down for 4 quarters this time and get out of there without and injuries. ☝️

The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party this Saturday. Can't root for UGA or the shiteatinggators! But I can cheer on the zombies to invade that stadium if the Zombie Apocalypse happens!
UGA is favored by 14.5. As bad as I want them to cover and then some, I think the turds keep it closer than that. Not sure if I can take the Gators with a clear conscience.

Primanti Brothers here I come!
Fun sports town (have visited for FSU @ Pitt hoops, a Steelers game and a few other random visits) but simply cannot endorse Primanti Bros signature sandwiches with the soggy fries inside. Love all the ingredients but I’m staunchly pro-crispy fries. Soggy fries are prohibited in most holy books for good reason.
You’ll have a blast though, just touring around, riding the funicular, etc

When is the Notre Dame game next year? Hopefully it's not as cold as the last time we were there
November 9. Same weekend as last time. I fully expect to be able to stay through the entire game without frostbite! I also would like to get there early enough to actually walk around campus. Last time we were in Lansing for the Ohio State-Michigan State game at noon and didn't get to South Bend until 530pm.

Full disclosure on Primanti Bros. I pass on the fries on the sandwich. It is quite frowned on and can generate a sucking of the teeth but I cant do it. But you have to leave the slaw on there. Jumbo hold the tomato and fries.

If you haven't been to Pitt in a while, know that their on campus stadium is no more. The Accusure Stadium is close to campus, but it's still a healthy walk.

My son and I got there early enough to walk around some and get a picture in front of Touchdown Jesus. We were searching for some warmth when we saw you in the stadium.

Yes, thank you. Will scope out the parking situation Thursday night at the Steelers game.

I have a broken foot so a healthy walk is not in my future
If you’re there several nights and want to enjoy a nicer dinner one night, definitely go to Eleven. It’s maybe 1/2 mile from the original Primanti Bros, also in the Strip but headed towards Point State Park. Great food & menu in a really cool space, upscale but not fru fru and not crazy expensive. Ate there 2 nights in a row on last visit even tho usually like to explore different places. Gets pretty packed on game weekends so I’d make a reservation.

How did you like Notre Dame?

My great aunt was a nun in Indiana. She was 83 years old and dying when was in high school and I drove out there with my Mom and 2 brothers in a large white station wagon with no air conditioning to visit. This was in August of 1996.

I remember the Notre Dame campus was pristine.

Notre Dame was definitely a must see for this college football Jewish nut. The game was night time, it was the coldest football game ever, the wind was blowing, the parking lots were covered in snow, my feet were wet and frozen, my hand/foot warmers stopped working by the middle of the first quarter and FSU was getting their ass kicked. The best part of the game? Actually meeting DFS and son in person!

The campus was nice, what I was able to see thru squinting eyes due to the wind and hat and scarf on!

I went to that game as well and it was easily the coldest game I’ve ever been to. Pretty sure it was 25 at kickoff. That’s unseasonably cold for Indians that time of year so hopefully we’re a bit luckier next year. Even like mid 40s would be nice.

This week isnt loaded with good games but there are a few interesting match ups.
UGA/UF - Would be nice if UGA lost butt its the Gators so Go Dawgs
BYU/Texas - Normally a pass but Texas is giving 18 points without their QB. Might bet that one.
Utah/Oregon - Its the P12 but might be a good game.
Duke/L'ville - Battle for the ACCCG
Colorado/UCLA - Obviously

Do we want Duke again in the ACCCG? Louisville? UNC?

It as damn cold, to be sure, but not as cold as North Texas State back in the 70's. Snowing so hard you couldn't see the lights on the scoreboard, it wasn't like it was some big-ass stadium where the seats were far away to begin with. This Florida cracker couldn't wait to get out of there and into something warm.

Of course, the result was better than that ND game.

I don't hate Miami anymore since they're in the ACC.

Don't crucify me. :)
cool. If the history of that rivalry doesn't make you hate them, then time to turn in your Nole Card... Go spend some time with those jackasses next year and see how feel about that.... and _____ the acc, biggest group of sad sacks, posers, and gridiron midgets in CFB. Big Sky conference has more moxie than that group of ball-less losers

I hated them in the past; wide right in 2002 crushed my soul.

But, I also want a strong ACC. That means Miami is good and the Noles defeat them.

I enjoyed that game thoroughly. The playmakers looked great, and the outcome was never in doubt. FSU has a very good shot at running the table.

I have switched over to the Cocktail Party, which is just gravy regardless of the outcome.
We did too. Gators up 7-0 but Georgia driving.

I guess you can't complain with a 41-16 final score. Imagine what this team can do if they put forth the same effort for 4 qtrs and don't have over 100yds in penalties.
