Anyone here in Pensacola?

I was going to Pensacola today for a little mini vacation but the sea louse apparently are making the beaches off limits, so I went over to Biloxi instead. So stay out of the water!
Last night, after I was already practically in the bag, I had decided the wife and I needed to go out lol.

I grew up in Pace and after high school, bolted to FSU and then up to metro Atlanta. Only go back to visit family every year or so.
Yes, I hate it. We moved here a few years ago to be a bit closer to my wife's family while we raised a baby. Now that he's getting older I'm pushing for us to move somewhere better. She's adamant that Tallahassee is off the table, and I'm adamant that it not be Atlanta or here, so we'll just have to see where that goes.
With that said, it's better than it used to be. Pace has become the white flight area from Pensacola and is growing ridiculously rapidly. There's actually quite a bit here for restaurants and shopping now without having to go into Pensacola. So it's far more bearable than it once was.
But it's the culture I struggle with fitting in with the most. I disagree with most people here on just about everything. lol

My Pain Management doctor opened an office in Pace a few years ago, so I go to that one because it's closer to Ellyson Industrial Park........it's crazy the new businesses that have opened just in the last few years. Pace and Beulah are exploding in the P'Cola area.

Yeah that would be cool. Let me know if there's a place you head out to. I've got another friend in Pensacola who's been wanting to try to get together for a game too.
BTW, did you ever get the chair for your pool working we talked about a year or so ago?
Oh, yea........I've been enjoying the pool, till my T-cell went out a couple of weeks ago. It's been one of those summers.
We are in Perdido and I was looking to get together with some Noles for a drink... not sure if its going to be possible tonight...
I live near Legion Field, (not that one) about a mile from downtown.

Is there a website or facebook group or something for them? I'd love to get involved there a bit more.
The minor league team is absolutely one of my favorite things about Pensacola. The downtown walking district on Palafox is great as well. Aside for the beaches there isn't much left amazing though.
