Forecasts show a snow / sleet mix for Atlanta on Friday into early Saturday. Just NW of Atlanta there is potential for several inches if the sleet doesn't mix in too much

Snowed at the Alamo today. Clear and supposed to get down to 26 here in N Tex tonight.

The local weather guys are saying we could get a few flakes/some sleet here. Looking at the radar, that looks possible.
I would love a little snow here in Tallahassee, but I think we are out of luck.
Seems like there's more snow behind the rain than originally forecast, so who knows?

Snowing from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham to the NW side of Atlanta. 1/2 -3" reported so far north of ATL (generally far northern suburbs to the mtns). Currently steady snow / sleet on the NW side of ATL.
2-3" in NW Georgia and still snowing. Have lived here 5 years and this is the first snow in December. Usually a January or February event.
This sucks. I detest bitterly cold weather, but it's somewhat bearable if there's snow (not ice, thanks Texas) with it. The truck read 18° when I got in this morning, and not a cloud in the sky. But snow in Montgomery and Harris Counties, out thru the entire southeast???

Snowing hard north of atl.1-2 " Roswell to woodstock. It would be double that if this happened overnight. Roads clear.
Still snowing. Close to 4" at the house. A wet snow with no wind. Waiting for branches to break. City/County and schools closed.
About 2 inches of fluffy stuff as I left the house around 7. No wind... The drive into Asheville, NC was uneventful although, as expected, there were a couple of drivers acting the fool. Bad weather seems to bring out the dormant “watch this boyz” in those so inclined. We are prolly gonna get a nice little dump, but this sure is late in the season for the first one.
Chimp, you think the snow to the west of the Florida panhandle now holds on as the system moves east?
I think your truck is wrong. It only got down to 32 here.
*edit- never mind. Wx.com doesn't have a clue. WFAA says it was 24 at DFW. At least all the leaves are finally coming down.
