crazy the angle of hate from some. I mis spoke by saying ruining TV, as someone pointed out, I should have said award shows are ruining award shows.

OP is a special snowflake whose opinion is of such value that he must share it with us.
I don't get the hate your giving me, is this not an opinionated forum. isn't almost every thread started kinda opinion based. What gives

Point being?

I don't see how the two are related. Doing what one feels is the right thing to do doesn't always mean it's the popular thing (most times it's unpopular). Ratings just mean there were not a lot of people that wanted to watch or were not interested in the content.

As another point of content not being dictated by popularity, look at the top rated shows right now. Big Bang Theory, NCIS, The Good Doctor, Young Sheldon. I wouldn't qualify those as great shows, yet that's what people are watching. I also have never considered the Grammy's as particularly entertaining either. I don't think I've ever watched it.

This thread wasn't about ratings, it was about award shows ruining TV.

Out of curiosity, I Googled Grammy ratings and looked at noticed a trend of who was posting about this one Twitter. Telling.
I don't have any use for twitter, don't use or follow it, so please don't lump me into that. I did not vote for him fwiw. I am assuming you are referring to DT

No, not him. But Clay Travis, and a bunch of similar-aligned talking heads all had posts about the Grammy's ratings. You didn't bring up the ratings so my post was in response to the posters that did.
