There's an ongoing snowstorm and I am watching the playoffs so I figured now is the perfect time to start up this thread. Since we are having a better year, I figured i'd get your hopes up so we have at least a little more to look forward to each week, even if the Noles aren't playing that day. Now this is all my opinion and I am no expert, but I follow quite a few accounts / websites that update daily on projections. So here is what it looks like :

- We are currently ranked 66th in NET. Unfortunately, the ACC is terrible in the metrics so we won't have many opportunities to move up. After the GT win, we actually dropped.
- We need to win more Q1 games, and we need luck for some teams to sneak into Q1. Currently, we are projected to only have 2 Q1 games left (Duke, UL). But there are two games that can sneak into Q1 (@ Stanford, @ WF). They are 77,76 respectively and Q1 is top 75 away. UNC & SMU home (need to be in top 30) can also sneak into Q1.
- Last year, Indiana State was left out with a NET of 29. The lowest ranked NET ranked team to qualify for NCAAT was Rutgers (77). So we need to move up, and move up quick.

Here is my review of the ACC teams so far :

Teams In - Duke, Louisville, Clemson, UNC
Bubble Teams (in order) - PITT, SMU, WF
Can move up - FSU, Stanford

We are in that tough situation of do we want teams ahead of us to lose so we gain in the ACC standings, OR, do we want them to win so we get more Q1/Q2 opportunities making our resume better? I would say we want the latter. We want them to keep winning. We have Clemson at home, UNC at home, SMU at home. Those are 3 huge chances to rack up big wins.

Upcoming games of note :

Tuesday - Louisville @ SMU (I'd be fine with SMU win so they move into Q1 for our matchup later) ; UNC @ WF (WF undefeated at home so I see them winning, would put them into top 3 in ACC standings)

I will be sure to update this thread weekly!
