Jody Brown and Onyi Echegini each fired two goals as the fifth-ranked Florida State soccer team (4-0-0) blitzed North Florida (1-3-2) in a 4-0 victory on Thursday evening at Hodges Stadium. The Noles haven't lost a non-conference road match since 2019.

Brown wasted no time as she drove into the box and passed off to Taylor Huff who then sent it back through to Brown for a one-on-one with the keeper which she made no mistake of. Curled beautifully into the back of the net leaving the flailing keeper with no chance to put the Noles on the board inside of ten minutes. Huff provided three assists on the night for the first time in her career and leads the team in assists at five.

Good things are bound to happen when you send a ball into the danger area, and Beata Olsson did just that as her through ball made a deflection and allowed an easy path to Echegini for her to smash in the insurance goal. No more than ten minutes passed before Jordynn Dudley received the ball from Echegini and sped past Osprey defenders to set Brown up for a 3-0 lead and her first brace of the season.

The scoring didn't stop there as Huff sent in a whipping cross to Dudley who laid a header down to Echegini, which she powered through two defenders and into the top of the net for the finishing touches and a brace for herself as well. Last year's leading goal scorer already has four goals in four matches and holds this year's honor through the early season. She also has scored in her last three games marking just the second time in her FSU career she's achieved the feat.

The Seminoles were once again dominant with a 17-2 shot advantage, held nearly 70% of possession, and converted over half of the shots they fired at goal. The returning World Cup players, Brown, Echegini, and Maria Alagoaeach recorded two shots on goal. Cristina Roque earned her fourth win of the season and second clean sheet on the road.

Florida State will return home to finish their non-conference slate with a Sunday afternoon battle with Florida. First kick is set for 3:30 p.m. and available to watch on ACC Network.
