College Games Canceled Due to Weather

The gatas had a game canceled last year due to weather, and LSU had the same issue this past weekend. Is there insurance to cover the financial losses? Do ticket holders get their $$ back?

I don't recall this happening in the old days. Were we just oblivious to the risks (i.e., just like we used to smoke on airplanes and ride around in the back of pick-up trucks)? Or am I simply not remembering the cancellations? I think it is the former, but any other information would be most appreciated.

I read that McNeese St. Will still receive their $500k. LSU is also looking at a way to refund some if not all of the ticket price. Should be easy for tickets purchased by season ticket holder and others who went through the ticket office.
