I see some potential spoiler teams in our conference (teams with worse records then their talent (GT, Cuse, Miami) If you were the ACC commish and could choose the winners to better your conference you would have:
NC St over Wake
Clemson over Miami
Pitt over Cuse
Louisville over BC (this one does not matter but you want Louisville to at least get to a bowl)
Duke over VT
UNC over UVA
FSU over GT
ND over Temple
6 of the 8 would require road wins. I think there are a lot of close games there. UNC should be ranked if they win but I think UVA could keep it close. Cuse has a solid QB in Doungy and could take Pitt out of the rankings in a quick manner. Duke is playing well but they go to VT.
Point is this could be a lose lose weekend. All the better teams should win but they are playing teams without being vastly superior. Beside the obvious (FSU and Clemson winning) for the sake of interest in the conference I would like Duke, UNC, and Pitt to win and make three ranked teams from the coastal by winning.
