FSU finished their 2025 class with a solid Defensive Line class. Tyon Lee looks like a steal from Pace High School. LaJessee Harrold was a prospect once committed to LSU. Keeping Kevin Wynn in the fold at DT was huge. Darryll Desir, Mandrell Desir and Tyeland Coleman give FSU options heading into the upcoming season. Heading into the 2026 Class FSU needs to continue to bring in both talent and depth. The Defensive Class in Florida for 2026 looks to be one of the stronger position groups from the Sunshine State.

1) Jake Kreul-IMG Academy-6'2-235-Kreul is a versatile player. You can line him up at defensive end. We feel you can have him rush off the edge as an outside backer/defensive. He can play wide and just beat his guy off the ball. He is quick enough to go outside and come back inside to get to the quarterback. He lacks size and if not for that he would be rated as one of the top 2-3 pass rushers in the country. (Player Comp: TJ Watt)

2) DE-Trenton Henderson - Pensacola Catholic- 6'4-225
- Henderson is quickly becoming the top defensive line prospect in Florida. He has size. He has the ability to get up the field and put pressure on the quarterback. He has the ability to set the edge on run plays. He is a complete player and a prospect that FSU could use. The Seminoles need to get him on campus this spring. (Player Comp: LJ McCray)

3) DE-Jarius Rodgers-Fleming Island-6'5-200-
Rodgers is a prospect that has been on campus at FSU. He has size and length. He is another pass rusher off the edge. Rodgers is raw but you can see the potential. He is going to have to get bigger and stronger to play at the next level. We expect that to happen. (Player Comp: Gregory Rousseau)

4) DT-Kendall Guervill-Fort Myers-6'5-275 -
Two years in a row, Southwest Florida may have the top rated defensive tackle in the state of Florida. FSU needs DT's and Kendall is the best player at his position in Florida. He has size and can move. He has not even come close to his potential. He should be able to get in the rotation early and make an impact in year 2. (Player Comp: Myron Charles)

5) DT-Preston Carey-IMG Academy-6'4-290-
Big man. He takes on blocks and still gets into the backfield. If you are a linebacker you want Carey in front of you. He will allow his backers to come in and clean up. He creates gaps for his backers to shoot through. He is strong and forces you to sometimes double team him. Carey is a guy who comes in and makes an impact early on.

Others to keep an eye on: DL-Brian Harris-Mandarin, DE-Daniel Norman-Saint Thomas, DE-Demetrius Geathers-West Boca

Final Thoughts: Right now Rodgers looks like the best option for FSU to land on the DL. He is a guy who is going to take some work because he is committed to Syracuse. He has visited FSU a lot and that includes last year at FSU summer camp. FSU was mentioned as one of Kreul final 12. Who knows what that means but at least FSU was listed. Trenton Henderson is the catch of the class. He is someone FSU could really use.
