At least that is what the preliminary news outlets are stating. I am waiting to find an analysis of how this asset deal will be structured and how the carve out would work (sorry for the accounting lingo) but this could an interesting, if indirect, commentary on the views of sports broadcasting. To be fair, FOX has a lot more NFL assets than ESPN, and that sport is in a bit of a bind. Nevertheless, if Disney thought they could make many with the FOX sports channels, they would try to buy them. My comments are all preliminary but this could be interesting. Maybe FOX refused to sell them. More to come.

They are going after 21st century fox. Just the entertainment side of Fox. I think a lot of this has to do with rights that Fox owns. Certain Marvel properties, distribution rights for Star wars 4, and a few other things.
How does 21CF have any SW property? Thought Disney owned the whole franchise.

They do, but the distribution rights for SW 5&6 was for 20 years and New Hope was lifetime rights. Or something along those lines. I read all about this the other day. I'll see if I can find the article.

So it's not listed in the article but referenced by a poster in comments section. This is what was said

"Distribution rights for the original trilogy were still owned by Fox. after 20 years Empire and RotJ would go to Disney, but the original movie is held by Fox in perpetuity."
