Do we still get a top 8 seed?

Absolutely! I think the top 8 will fall pretty close to this:
1) Texas A&M
2) Oklahoma
3) FSU
4) Florida
5) UCLA
6) South Carolina
7) LSU
8) Arizona

After I ran the numbers, I think FSU should be #2 and Oklahoma #3, but you know how it is with Oklahoma. lol
I also think Arizona should be #7 and LSU #8, but...

I really don't think there's any other team that belongs in the top 8. You can make a slight case for Texas and Arkansas, but in my opinion, only if you push LSU out.

The three teams that scare me the most, only because of their pitching is Texas Tech (Canady), Tennessee (Pickens), and Oregon (2 top 50 pitchers). Canady and Pickens could win it all, basically on their own under the right circumstances (win the opener and stay in the winners bracket). IF either team gets in the losers bracket, I think they're done. Oregon? Their top 2 pitchers beat us earlier in the season (both shutouts), but they didn't even get into the Big10 championship game and they didn't look real sharp, so...

This is the year to be paired up with Oklahoma, because they are really good, as usual, but Landry (their pitching) is good...not great. So whether we're 2 and OU is 3 or visa versa, I hope that's how it plays out.

Now, one team I didn't mention...Florida. When I ran the numbers, they actually were in 2nd! They have had a GREAT season, but I can't see the committee putting them ahead of OU, since OU got to the final of the SEC tournament. So I'm just saying it'll be interesting to see how they treat Florida, OU, and Texas A&M.

This should be a really fun tournament for us, IF Beachum and Edenfield can start hitting again. Boy could we use Reid!

I dont see us as #3. Not sure we would have been that high if we would have won yesterday.
The rankings have not had us that high all year.
I can see us at 5 or 6 paired up for a rematch with Clemson in the Supers.

I don't look at the rankings/polls and couldn't tell you where any school is.
I use RPI, SOS, NC RPI, NC SOS, Q1 record, Q4 losses, DSR, and season record.

9-16 should look something like this:
Texas
Arkansas
Tennessee
Clemson
Duke
Stanford
Texas Tech
Oregon

The interesting thing is I have Alabama at #17. Will the "SEC bias" play a roll and knock Oregon or Texas Tech "out"?

I think we will end up as 4 or 5, but, you never know when espn is involved.
You could be right. All the stat matrix puts FSU between 2-4.

Using all those that I listed, I have FSU at 2, but I think they'll put OU ahead of us.

I was talking with someone at OU and they're interested to see what happens, because they know their non-conference schedule was so bad, that they may get knocked down a few. I have them tied for #4 with UCLA.

So we'll see.

I love our draw for this tournament!

First, based on the matrix I used, I think we were #2, but I knew in my heart they would put Texas A&M and OU, #1 and #2. I had Florida #3, but thought they would slide us in there, because they didn't want the SEC to have the top 3, after all, we did beat them.
So much for that, as they made the top 4 seeds all SEC. lol

As for us, Auburn is tough but FSU is clearly the best team in the regionals, so we have to play well and just win.
If we do that, and the regions hold up, we face Texas Tech. Now, I hate having to face the best pitcher in the country, Canady, BUT they are FAR AND AWAY the worst team of the top 16 seed! It's really not even that close. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't make it to Tallahassee.

So, all things considered, I like our chances to get to OKC. It would be great if Beachum and Edenfield start hitting again!

Poor LSU!!! lol
They get a pretty good Nebraska a Jordy Bahl, when I thought they'd get a top 8 seed.

UCLA really got hosed.
Yeah, the numbers said they should be #5 and they ended up at #9.
However, if they advance they play South Carolina instead of Texas Tech and Canady.
I would have taken that trade-off. I think we are much better suited to take on Texas Tech than UCLA is.
