I have really enjoyed the documentary series about surfing this wave and others on HBO.
100 Foot Wave
I can’t watch those things. Terrifying.
I recall being in Hawaii and seeing huge waves but not as big as this one. They actually crested a little further out so by the time what was left hit the shore they weren’t so big. I hope this shot was made with a telephoto lens. 😨
