It's easy to get caught up in the rankings & the playoff predictions. It's easy to freak out over the SEC love fest.
In 2013, we started off 14th I think. We didn't jump to #1 in a week; it took well after stomping Clemson, even. And we needed to be in the top 2 that year, not top 4.
OSU wasn't in the top 4 after losing to VT last year. In fact, they didn't get the bump until the final committee meeting.
We are 1 week into a long, long season. The predictions right now don't mean anything. I understand having to work your way up seems a little stressful, but as we saw last year, hanging onto on of those precious top 4 spots is just as difficult, maybe even more so.
So just sit back and enjoy the games. Don't get too caught up with the media - ahem, ESPN. They're talking to talk.
Let's be more interested in South Florida than Kirk's post-week-1 top 4.
