Recently the poster amellownole posted on here that sources told him that Blackman has been taking the first team defense to the woodshed in practice. Francios was a tough dude no doubt but Blackman in my honest opinion has the higher ceiling. He's 6'5 with a great arm. He can see things Francios can't because of his 6'1 height. I know it feels like this season is over but I have a special feeling about Blackman. He showed some leadership last night after eberle tossed that guy to ground, Blackman was snatching everybody by the jersey making them get back and into the huddle. This may come off as a terrible thing to say and please don't take it the wrong way but this could end up being a blessing in disguise. Blackman may end up being one of those studs u never saw coming. And if not, then just hand the ball to Akers 25+ times a game.
