Aslan and I just recorded a video to discuss some of this, but here a couple answers to questions I've seen. You can also watch the video above.
* Just like the players, Norvell is subject to the 10-day isolation. So assuming he doesn't have prolonged symptoms toward the end of that period, he will be able to come back 10 days from the positive test, which I'm pretty sure was Friday. So that would allow him to come back early next week. That means he should be back to prep for Jacksonville State and that game.
* Thanks to Zoom, Norvell will be able to participate in meetings all week, and give feedback following practices, etc. But I don't get the impression he's going to be able to do much on game day. It's more likely that the team will promote someone else on the staff -- one of the GAs or analysts -- to help coach on game day. The good news is they have some very good support staff members. I'm sure they're going to check with the NCAA to see if he can have any communication on game day from the field, but it doesn't sound like there will be much.
* I've seen some people wondering if a bunch of players and assistants are likely to get the virus now. You never know, but there's no indication of that right now. From talking to some folks around the program, it doesn't sound like they've had a rash of cases or anything. And the fact that Norvell is generally kept away from a lot of close contact with staff and players during the week, people are hopeful it didn't spread much.
Having said that, this is all obviously tenuous. As of now, there's every indication that they'll play Miami. But both teams have three more tests between now and then. So we'll see.
If you have any other questions, we can try to answer with what we know.
