Norvell probably has to have 3 good recruiting classes not just the 2022 class. I don’t think the vast majority of fans will let him go to year 4 or 5 without major win improvements from this year until then. Some of the 2022 class can play right away next year but it won’t result in a meaningful jump. I don’t know the full list of which players that will have their eligibility up by next year but it’s safe to say unless they get a phenom QB in the portal next year won’t be stellar either. What is the ideal win total in year 3 that will make us all be okay with having a year 4? If we only win 3-4 this year then is 5 wins in year 3 ok? If coaching changes are made then it will affect a future recruiting class and undo the necessary 3 classes needed for a turn around. It would reset the clock. And I think that’s what will happen.
