The FSU baseball team's three opponents in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional will be 4 seed Tennessee Tech, 2 seed UCF and 3 seed Auburn. The 'Noles will be paired with the Texas Tech Regional.

FSU's game Friday will be at 6 p.m. against Tennessee Tech. The Auburn-UCF game will be at noon.

Homeward Bound: FSU snares host site for NCAA Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State University has been selected as a regional host for the 2017 NCAA Baseball Tournament by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee. The four-team regional is scheduled for June 2-5 on Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium. Florida State will serve as a regional host for the seventh consecutive season, the 19th time in the last 21 seasons and the 34th time in school history when play begins Friday.

The 16 regional sites, with host institutions: Baton Rouge, La. – LSU; Chapel Hill, N.C. – University of North Carolina; Clemson, S.C. – Clemson University; Corvallis, Ore. – Oregon State; Fayetteville, Ark – University of Arkansas; Fort Worth – Texas Christian; Gainesville, Fla. – University of Florida; Hattiesburg, Miss – Southern Miss; Houston, Tex. – University Houston; Lexington, Ky. – University of Kentucky; Long Beach, Calif. – Long Beach State; Louisville, Ky. – University of Louisville; Lubbock, Tex. – Texas Tech; Stanford, Calif. – Stanford University; Tallahassee, Fla. – Florida State University; Winston-Salem, N.C. – Wake Forest University.

Florida State, which won its seventh ACC Championship on Sunday with a 7-3 win over No. 2 ranked North Carolina, has won 18 of its last 23 games since April 16. The Seminoles finished with a 4-0 record in the ACC Tournament. They earned wins over Notre Dame, No. 5 Louisville, Duke and No. 2 North Carolina to win the championship.

Florida State’s selection as a host site for the regional round of the tournament ensures the Seminoles have also been selected to the NCAA Tournament for the 40th-consecutive season, the second-longest active streak in the country. Each regional field features four teams, playing a double-elimination format.

The remaining at-large selections, top-eight national seeds, first round regional pairings and site assignments will be announced at 12 Noon (ET), Monday, May 29 on ESPN.

The Super Regional sites will be announced on www.ncaa.com/cws, on Monday, June 5 at approximately 11 p.m. (ET).

There are 31 Division I conferences which will receive an automatic berth in the field of 64, along with 33 at-large selections. The 69th Men’s College World Series begins play Friday, June 16, at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.

Tickets for the 2017 NCAA Baseball Tallahassee Regional will go on sale to the public at 3:00 p.m. EST on Monday, May 29 at www.seminoles.com. Phone and walk-up orders begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning by calling 888-378-6653 or visiting the main Seminole Ticket Office located at Doak Campbell Stadium, University Center C. Regional tournament passes are available for $55 for reserved seats and $40 for general admission seats. Individual game tickets will go on-sale beginning Friday, June 3. Individual game prices are $18 for reserved (if available) and $12 for adult general admission and $8 for youth general admission (ages 5-18). Children aged 4 and under are free with a paying adult.
