Most of us here know by now how unbelievably dominant our soccer team has been this year. God knows I post enough about it. If not, here's a few stats, FSU vs opponents:

47 to 7 in goals.

257 to 35 in shots.

125 to 16 in shots on goal.

Most importantly, 13-0 and the only perfect record in the country.

And these numbers are coming vs a VERY strong schedule. Best conference in the country, and we didn't fill our OOC schedule with directional schools like many other teams did.

But.... There's one stat that might make us one of the UNLUCKIEST teams as well: Somehow, we rank #335 in the country (out of 336 teams!) in save percentage. This is absolutely nuts, because you're talking about possibly one of the greatest college soccer teams in recent memory. But yet our opponents' shots, as extremely rare as they are, are finding the net at an alarming rate, and way more often than they should just going by law of averages. Is this just simply bad luck? Defense not getting back to help? Half-asleep goalkeeping? (They rarely see action).

Again, #335 out of 336. We're behind winless teams from truly awful conferences like the Patriot League and the SWAC. It's just bizarre.

Bad luck or not, this is the best team in the country, and one of the best sports teams FSU athletics has ever produced. The next few weeks are going to be a lot of fun.
