The Florida State softball team will be hosting its annual Garnet and Gold Scrimmage and Fan Day on Saturday, Feb. 4 at JoAnne Graf Field. Gates will open at 12:30 p.m. with first pitch set for 1:45 p.m. Admission is free for the scrimmage.

Fans will have the opportunity to get a first look at this year’s squad, which returns six out of its top seven hitters and its top pitcher from last year’s ACC Championship team. Beginning at 1:30, fans will be able to talk to members of the softball team in the stands for 15 minutes before the scrimmage.

The Seminoles will host their annual First Pitch Party following the scrimmage. During the First Pitch Party, the team will be available to sign autographs from 4-4:45 p.m. in the Champions Club. Tickets to the event can be found here.

The Seminoles will begin their regular season on Feb. 9-11 at the JoAnne Graf Classic at JoAnne Graf Field. The Seminoles will first take the field on Feb. 9 against Lipscomb. All reserved seating season tickets have been sold out. Season tickets for the outfield berm and for standing room are available here.

Too bad no TV for those of us 5 hours away.
 
We plan to cover the scrimmage next Saturday. Depends on the format. Sometimes those are tough to bring you good takeaways but we can check in with coach and get some thoughts ahead of the season, which begins two weeks from today
