During the March FSU Board of Trustees meeting, a pair of trustees expressed some concerns about the ACC's status in the Power Five conferences -- Joe Gruters said he's worried ACC teams in the future will be left out of the four-team football playoff, and Edward Burr said the conference needs to get a cable channel running soon or the league's schools risk falling behind other programs financially. As far as I can recall, those were the first critical (or questioning) comments about the ACC since the Grant of Rights agreement was reached two years ago.
After that meeting, I reached out to the ACC and asked if Commissioner John Swofford would be willing to address those concerns in an interview. He agreed, and we had that interview on Thursday.
Here's the main story.

I will post the Swofford Q&A in a separate thread since we discussed some other issues as well.
