Pussers at Ponte Vedra Beach - They have the best specials and atmosphere out of three locations IMO. Also Friday night is ladies night so drink for free after 10:00pm. The way we're playing that may be the selling point for lady Noles.
Atlantic Beach Brewing Company - A new game watch location that's still getting its name out to the masses. Seminole owned brewery.
And Whiskey Jax off of baymeadows.
Dang. All those are further than I want to be from my house.
I am leaning towards going somewhere in Riverside. Either Mellow Mushroom or Hoptingers. Mellow Mushroom is huge and has a bunch of TVs. Hoptingers I haven't been too and I want to try it and from what I have seen online looks pretty cool. Just not sure how much Nole representation there will be at either.
I always said that The Jacksonville Seminole Club should have "Tribes" under Club direction around town to watch games. Jacksonville & the Greater North Florida area is too spread out for just (2) designated game watch locations. Both of which are realtively the same side of town. Neglecting a large support base on the other side of the river.
*Pussers isn't associated with JSC but associated with the Beaches Noles group. Still has the best draw of fans of any game watch location and really great environment.*
If it were my ship I'd recognize the Beaches Noles & Pussers as the game watch location at the Beach. Then find designated game watch locations for Southside (Whiskey Jax), Riverside/Avondale, St. John's County, and maybe Fleming Island area.
Hoptinger is awesome and so is Mellow in Avondale.
Been to Mellow quite a bit. They have plenty of craft beer on tap also. Hoptinger has a pretty good selection too from what I saw online and one of their bier cocktails has moonshine in it that I really want to try.
It's a great spot. Rooftop is pretty cool as well. Friday night it's going to be packed with the dinner crowd and party goers. Tried going the other weekend and there was a line down to Hawkers for the rooftop bar.
Sounds like Mellow it will be then. I will try Hoptingers another day.
Remember when gaters would show up to our game watching parties? They said ours were more fun than theirs.
They were a downer.
We are down to 3 locations in DFW. Don't really like them. 2 are too far away and my local one isn't that great.
Still remember the one in 2003 at the bar in Addison - 200+ going absolutely insane over Rix to PK Sam. Crazy!
My office is across Preston from II Brothers... haven't been to a game watch there yet. Used to go all the time when it was at 3rd Base in Frisco. The one near you is Pluckers, right?
Been there a couple times and it was terrible the first time. They just weren't ready. The 2nd time it was a little better. It's the Jax Seminole Club advertised place so there are a lot of Noles and they set up the outside pretty decent.
I am meeting a few fellow Noles at Mellow in Riverside. A couple of them are also fellow BK alums, as well.
Yes. My problem with them is you have to get there very early to get a spot at a table and the wait staff will completely ignore you if you're not at a table.

I wish it was still at Pluckers. They wanted out of the Ft Worth location, so they decided to combine the mid cities and Ft Worth over at Boomerjacks off I-35W. Right where all that construction is just north of 820. Went to the first game there and probably won't go back. They sit on hard azz picnic tables on their covered patio. Pain in the butt to get there, and literally a pain in the butt to sit there. Plus, we didn't know any of the people that were there. Don't know where all the mid cities folks went. Probably home.

I went to the haunted brewery instead...glad I made that call....but Whiskey Jax is a good time and a good crowd usually
Agreed. But the worst part about Whiskey Jax is when leaving, I get drawn into the SteinMart next door and end up purchasing a bunch of Chaps by Ralph Lauren when I meant to buy just plain old Ralph Lauren. Gets me every time.
Next time at Whiskey venture down to the other end of the complex to Tequilas for the best margaritas in Jax
AMEN. Better Mexican food than most places in Jax too. We go there a lot.
