We kicked a FG with 7:30 left in the 3rd quarter to take a 24-10 lead.
That was our fourth scoring drive in our last five drives (we'd had six; we went 3-and-out on our first drive of the game thanks to Bobo's drop). We had three TDs and a FG. And remember on that FG drive we had a 2nd and goal from the 4 and they called a complete BS holding call on Hoefield where he'd knocked his man to the ground and DID NOT hold him. If they don't make that call we'd have had 3rd and goal at the 3. Oh well.
But we looked good! We were moving the ball and scoring. Golson hit some good passes. Vickers had a few good runs.
And the defense had only given up 10 points!
At that point I thought that we'd score 7 or 10 more and that we'd likey give up a 4th quarter TD and we'd win something like 34-17.
But the last 22:30 of the game really didn't go the way that we'd like. We gave up 6 points and we didn't score.
I think that jimmies are rustled here due to us not scoring. Seriously, I'm just fine with giving up 6 points in the second half. I'll take it every game.
