I have been going to a lake in Canada every year since I was a baby. My grandparents operated a tourist camp in the summers and I spent my summers there so I have been in boats and owned biats ny whole life. Ten years ago - or so - Canada mandated that you get a boat “driver’s license “ for boats over a certain length. Most of the questions were about busy waterways and red and green lights and bouys and....I barely passed the test ;(

I took a Coast Guard Auxiliary safe boating course not coincidentally right after being ticketed for running at dusk with no lights.

LOL.....these responses are classic locker room....good to see it. LOL

First you have to get the boat in the water, so let us known when and where and I will bring the cooler a lawn chairs....

This should be good...

Just giving you a hard time, I have been boating all my life, from a Mastercraft Ski boat to my current boat which is a 40' Cabo express sportfishing boat. Practice, Practice, Practice.....experience...experience, experience.

Also, a lot of states these days require operators to have taken a boaters safety course and carry a card that proves you passed the course. I would actually start there, Boat US has a free course available online.

Good luck.
