Even on the off chance there were, I doubt this guy from Utah went to it.I wonder if there's a university in Texas that goes by UT?

The consensus path never shifted that far. Particularly once the medium and short range projections came into play. it was a no brainer and there wasn't really anything difficult in his decision process. Claiming he did something spectacular is like claiming a truck driver is a genius becaus he decided to hit the brakes when he saw a traffic jam ahead. And I'm pretty sure localities decide when to evacuate what areas and honestly there wasn't a whole lot of discretion in that anyway. St Pete uneccesarly evacuated a ton of people and prematurely closed the borders while Orlando actually imposed a curfew that lasted 12 hours longer than reasonable. These were county decisions however, not state level. Are you talking about once it made landfall in the keys it followed its predicted path? Because prior to that the forecast was all over the place. People didn't know if they should evacuate or not for much of the state. First it was going to brush the east coast and stay in the Atlantic, then hit Miami and head north, then hit the keys and go through the middle of the state, then go along the west coast and then its eventually path. It did give plenty of warning, but the shifting paths made it difficult to call which places needed to have mandatory evacuations or not.
This isn't accurate. The provincial minister in Quebec called the Texas SOS. The SOS thanked him, but said his office didn't coordinate relief aid. He should contact the locals or another department. But he would appreciate send prayers. This place is like the old game of six degrees of separation--when the story finally gets posted here it's no where near the truth.....sigh, the interwebz.
How could you talk about him "good"?What if two of us talked about him real good, and someone else stood by and excitedly watched us talk? Would you give us a "like" for that?
It does seem he did a good job.
Dude can mangle words like nobody's business though.
Well, it is a hurricane. There will be a spike in births in about 9 months. He mispronounced "multilple fatalities" as "multiple fertilities" multiple times. It was a good bit of comic relief.

I mentioned this in the original Irma thread right when he did it.Yeah, forgot to mention he was specific on that point too, prefacing the mispronunciation with "Hurricane Irma has caused..."

Nope...Do I owe you some money now?
