I remember watching him scramble for some runs and then head towards the sideline to go out of bounds. Once the defender slows down to not hit him and avoid the penalty. He then skates back in towards the field to get more yards.
I've seen him get another 5 yards or so doing this and don't remember it ever being talked about.
