jeremy pruitt to UT

Aside from his character issues, I think it's a great hire.

I don't understand the fascination with a winning coach at a lower division being able to translate that success to a higher division. Witness Charlie Strong, Randy Shannon (maybe not a HC), the Houston coach now at Texas, etc. etc. etc. Why wouldn't qualified O and D coordinators at Top 10 programs be qualified?

Oh, and I wonder if Pruitt will pull a "Mark Richt" and be too busy with his new job and fail to prepare for the NC game. Alabama should let him go immediately. His loyalties lie elsewhere.

I think it's more the fact that a head coach at even a lower level has run the whole show and not just one side of the ball. In Pruitt's case, he has never been a head coach at any level. Not even high school.
