LATE REPORT
Really the big news was Jimbo Fisher saying DB Ryan Green will more than likely miss the rest of the season with a separated shoulder. Green missed practice the last few days and Fisher said he'll have surgery on his shoulder.
Speaking of injuries, Fisher said he was pleased with how well OL Alec Eberle has looked since returning to the team. Although Corey Martinez has been working with the first team at center, Fisher hinted the starting job may not be determined after all. He said, "I didn't know if [Eberle] would be back so that's why I said Martinez right now would be starting. [Eberle] possibly could be starting too. He was a starter before he got injured."
We referenced DB Tarvarus McFadden possibly needing treatment in the early report. Fisher said McFadden was somewhat limited Monday and saw more action on Tuesday.
Green's season-ending injury, McFadden getting to a level of comfort and Eberle's surprising return is why Fisher reinforced how important depth could be for a team. He noted, "That's the thing I am excited about. We're getting more depth. We're getting tons of depth. Really excites me having guys, guys who can play and feel comfortable putting into the game."
We're schedule to speak with a few players and we'll have all that and more as the evening continues.
EARLY REPORT
Good afternoon everyone. Considering there are no longer any lingering questions about a starting quarterback what's the point in a practice report? Just kidding. Mood in the early portion seemed good. Vic Viloria, who is FSU's strength and conditioning coach, is usually the emotional touchstone. Viloria was conversational with players as was Jimbo Fisher. Tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator Tim Brewster was also pretty happy. He looked in my direction and said, "Man, how can you not be happy when you coach at Florida State?!?" Brewster was probably the happiest person in camp today. Not like he snagged a premium tight end or anything...
Now, here's the news:
OL Abdul Bello was held out today and has been out of practice for a while now. As for other injury news with the offensive line, Alec Eberle was back and FSU nearly has all of its offensive linemen healthy. Today's No. 1 rotation was Roderick Johnson, Kareem Are, Corey Martinez, Wilson Bell and Brock Ruble. Eberle did take some snaps with the first team. Johnson and Are were a little slow to start but eventually found a rhythm with offensive line coach Rick Trickett saying, "however that just felt, do it every time."
RB Johnathan Vickers was in a blue non-contact jersey. LB Lorenzo Phillips was fine but was wearing a shoulder brace underneath his pads. It was only in plain view because he needed help readjusting his gear. DB Nate Andrews received some treatment on his left ankle. Finally, DB Tarvarus McFadden also went to the trainer's table yet it didn't appear as if he needed treatment. He was going through drills later.
WR Nyquan Murray was in full pads despite having his hand still bandaged heavily.

We're slated to grab Fisher around 6 p.m.
Make sure to check back later in the day for more updates. Until next time. Bye for now.
