This meeting, which was previously scheduled to take care of routine university business before classes begin, will begin in a few minutes. While it did not originally include an agenda item to discuss conference realignment I am told the athletic director and president will provide the BOT an update on what is happening within the ACC following the summer meetings in Charlotte. We expect there will be questions about what up until now has been a luke-warm response to the proposal FSU has presented for un-even distribution of revenue.
I would expect someone to talk about the fact FSU and other ACC members will be receive $30 million per team per year less than SEC and BIg10 schools if the ACC should not agree to some form of an uneven distribution of revenues.
Will the Board bring up options to leave the league?
Will they discuss the Grant of Rights?
I can't say for sure at this point but I'm hoping this meeting will at least provide us with more clarity.
