Gators tie this game up at 3 after three innings but can't take the lead.
 
Mudge leads off the FSU 4th with a single but is thrown out trying to steal second.
 
Kerr gives FSU another baserunner with a single to left. Seminoles’ sixth hit of the game.
 
Harding flies out to pretty deep left for the second out.
 
On a ball that bounces way away from Florida’s catcher, Kerr advances from first all the way to third.
 
Harding makes a great catch on a ball ripped her way at third base to retire the leadoff batter. Nice timing on her slight leap.
 
Solo homer by UF’s Skylar Wallace gives the Gators a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the fourth.
 
Now a two-out walk issued by Royalty. Third out of the inning proving elusive.
 
Another error by Flaherty, her second of the game, again extends the inning. Instead of an inning-ending groundout, UF has runners on first and second with two outs.

Diving play at second base robs Mack Leonard of a leadoff single. Really remarkable play on a hard-hit ball.
 
Wacaser rips the first pitch she sees into left field to give FSU a one-out baserunner.
 
Flaherty cranks a double to right field that one hops off the wall.

Wacaser can't quite come in to score but FSU has runners on second and third with one out for Bethaney Keen.

Pinch-hitter Katie Dack bounces one over the third baseman's head and into left field.

Both runners come in to score and FSU takes the lead right back, 5-4, in the top of the fifth.

Weisbrook walks to put runners on first and second for the top of the FSU order with one out. Chance to blow this one wide open after letting the Gators back into the game.

Mudge grounds a ball to short. Weisbrook is retired at second for the second out but FSU has runners on the corners for Jahni Kerr.
 
Kerr comes through once again. She improves to 3 for 3 on the day with a rocket of a double to left center just out of the reach of the left fielder.

Both runners come in to score and FSU's lead is extended to 7-4.
 
Harding flies out to left and the top of the fifth is finally over for the Gators.

However, FSU plates four runs to turn a 4-3 deficit into a 7-4 lead. This FSU offense is relentless, with 11 hits through five innings at the plate.
 
Royalty hits the first batter of the UF fifth to give the Gators a leadoff baserunner.
 
Sac bunt moves the runner up to second base and leads to the first out.
 
UF catcher Sarah Longley hits a two-run homer to left field to cut FSU's lead to 7-6 in the bottom of the fifth.

UF responds to FSU's big inning and the Seminoles are clinging to a 7-6 lead as we head to the sixth inning.

Edenfield leads off the FSU sixth with a walk. Amaya Ross will pinch run for her.
 
Close play on Ross' attempted steal of second base. She is called safe but it is under review.
 
Ross moves up to third on a passed ball. Runner on third now with no outs.
 
Mack Leonard flies out to center, deep enough for Ross to come in from third base to score.

Next UF batter, Nicole Echols, is hit by a pitch to put the tying run on first with no outs and bring the go-ahead run to the plate. Looks like that will be it for Royalty in the circle. FSU turning to freshman Makenna Reid in the high-leverage spot.
 
Flyout to fairly deep left field is the first out of the frame.
 
Infield popout retires UF in the sixth inning. Another huge moment for Makenna Reid, who entered with the tying run on first base and no outs and retired the first three batters she faced to end the threat.

8-7 FSU as we head to the seventh inning.
 
Dack watches strike three to lead off the FSU seventh inning.
 
Lineout to left retires FSU in order in the top of the seventh.

FSU leading 8-7 in the middle of the seventh. Gators have three outs to get at least one run.
