Loch Ness Monster discovered in Georgia

Man, that report sucks. So little information and no close up? Need. More. Information. Stat.

Piece of squid tentacle.

That’s honestly what I was thinking. They said it was only 5 feet total, so I was thinking either uneaten remnants of a very large large octopus species (either the seven arm, a surprisingly large specimen of another species or a completely unknown species) or a larger squid species we don’t know (the “paddle” looks like the fins on octopus species or the colossal squid which doesn’t live outside of the Antarctic circle as far as we know, but it looks nothing like a fin of the giant squid which does live in Florida as they have really wide but shallow fins).

Mangled sea turtle without shell?

It wouldn’t be a sea turtle imo because they eat sponges, jellyfish, algae, seagresses and corals depending on the species and don’t eat fast moving fish where they need that snakelike head.

But....Florida Softshell turtles get pretty large, have the snakelike neck as they eat fish and do venture out into brackish water on occasion (where if they die they could get swept out into the ocean for a time). And sharks or other predators might take a big bite out of the softshell especially since it’s basically just skin.

So you may be on to something....
