Face facts, a couple of those bowl games were embarrassing to even be in. The Nut bowl where both sidelines were on the same side of the field and last year in the worst city in America is no way to end a season.
In 2001 when we lost the streak of 10 win seasons, THAT was losing excellence. Losing a streak that awards mediocrity is worthless. Not that I’m happy we lost to UF but the streak of bowl games is meaningless in today’s times.
Losing the winning seasons does suck just because it would be nice to say you win more than you lose but in modern times, it’s a fugazi.
On the plus side of not playing in a bowl is we don’t have to watch this team play again. Which is nice.
