JMU, undefeated for most of the season, lost again to 8-4 Air Force, 31-21, to finish the season 11-2. JMU's other loss was to then 7-4 Applachian State. App State lost games this year to UNC, Wyoming, Coastal Carolina, and an awful Old Dominion team, who was 4-7 before beating two even worse teams in squeakers.
