By now I'm sure you've all heard (its dominated my Facebook page for 3 days now) about the view mocking Miss Colorado for her monologue as her talent. If you haven't heard about it she's a nurse and wrote and spoke about a patient that reminded her why she became a nurse. They've lost two big sponsors and in response to the outrage by nurses. What do all of you think??http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...hnson-the-view-advertisers-comments/72388422/

I'm glad nurses finally banded together to fight for something. That is what is wrong with our profession. We don't stand up for anything as a group. Joy Behar can enjoy her next ER visit when the nurses won't touch her. :D
This is what I posted on FB....I want to say thank you to The View. Why would I say this? Because nothing in my 15 years of nursing has brought all of us (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, NPs, MDs) together the way this controversy has. It's been an amazing thing to watch! I'm so proud to be a part of such an amazing profession!

My son was in the hospital for 4 days last week. Aside from nearly every one of his nurses being incredibly hot, they were incredibly attentive, patient, and trustworthy. I wouldn't feel the same if anyone from the view had stepped into the room ... unless Whoopie wore her Star Trek uniform and brought the hot red head doctor from that series with her.

Johnson & Johnson and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation both spend a great deal money promoting nursing. It's not really a PC thing. It's the idiots on the View not knowing who their advertisers are. It'd be like CNBC going after active trading, or ESPN going after daily fantasy sports.

I'm still not sure what she said after reading that article. I did however see the video of the Osborne girl talking about Latinos and Donald Trump… That was freaking jacked up. I can't stand the Osborne's!

Wait what? People are offended and outraged over a joke from a bunch of fat old women gossiping while sitting at a table? I mean, to come out and read emails for your talent is pretty damn funny to me as well. She should have went the Miss Teen Colorado and Delaware route and did porn instead, now that was some talent.

Mostly because these are the same thought Nazi's that call for others to be fired or replaced when they say something that they don't like or agree with. Baer is the worst of the worst, monitoring everyone's speech and thoughts to see if she agrees. If not, then she calls for their removal. I love shoving the PC nonsense right up their butt's..

every one of his nurses was incredibly hot? Sounds like a fun hospital.

This thread ended where I thought it would.

Good thing, I'm in mental health, I don't normally carry a stethoscope .

I would rather a nurse cut my heart out with a finger nail file than watch the view for even 30 seconds. Those * make me want to vomit.

My wife is an OR nurse for the last 30 years and is one of the best people on the planet. I asked her about the View thing and she said..........who?
