Just noticed in an interview with the AD of Texas Tech, Kirby Hocutt, that Texas Tech changed the name of their stadium to "Jones AT&T Stadium" in a naming rights deal 20 years ago in 2000.

I presume the "Jones" in the name is none other than Texas billionaire Jerry Jones? Now, since the new President of the Boosters, Michael Alford, used to work for Jerry Jones it seems natural that he could spearhead a deal to raise money by orchestrating a name change and naming rights deal for Doak.

In desperate times universities that are in financial difficulty will have to resort to whatever measures they can in order to survive. Seems like the timing may be right for Doak depending on the offers.
