I read the thread about going to a game in hogtown and it reminded me of some of my favorite obnoxious/arrogant gator stories.
One of my more bizarre stories happened in our neighborhood. This was in January of 2014 after the Noles won the championship. My wife and I were walking down our street. I was proudly wearing some FSU gear. We were passing a house where a woman was in the front yard talking on her phone. She had just rented the house and was moving in. We wave to her when she makes eye contact with us and she abruptly stops her phone conversation to yell 'go gators' at us. Now keep in mind, we just won the NC and the gators just went 4-8. She had no visible gator gear on her or her car.
My wife and I looked at each other and were baffled at the response. We simply laughed. Instead of being friendly and simply returning a wave, gator fans simply can not help themselves.
Not the most obnoxious of stories, but I still think of the angered look on her face and the puzzling response.
