These won't be quite as comprehensive as the post specifically focused on the newcomers, who we had not seen in person before, since we only had about an hour and there's a lot going on.

But here are some notes and observations from Gene, Aslan, Jeff, Tom and me on the returning players. These are not necessarily in any order, just notes from throughout.

And just because we didn't mention someone, that doesn't mean they didn't look good. These are just guys we specifically noticed.

* RB Lawrance Toafili looks to be a different level of quick than the other RBs. He moves so sudden and smooth in cone work. Great to see him fully healthy.

* RB Treshaun Ward also showed off his agility and quickness, and as always is a very hard worker. Same for RB Ja'Khi Douglas ... his speed is obvious.

* OL Thomas Shrader looked to be moving well and executing cleanly. He missed all of last year due to injury.

* CB Jarvis Brownlee was one of the most impressive guys out there, if not the most impressive. He looked like he was doing drills in fast-forward. Very athletic.

* DE Dennis Briggs has definitely dropped a few pounds for his transition to end from tackle. He looks similar to Keir Thomas' body from last season. L:ikely will slim down a little more, but he was moving well.

* DE Derrick McLendon has put on some really good weight. Looks like a legit DE now instead of a tweener. And he performed well in the drills.

* DE Patrick Payton has definitely put on good weight as well. He has really filled out since he arrived last year. Bet there's a good chance he's in the DE rotation this year.

* DB Kevin Knowles is emerging as a leader already. He was encouraging guys during drills and looked great himself.

* It's a great sign that DB Renardo Green was in a black jersey as a standout performer. He's coming off a tough year. Sounds like he's motivated and focused.

* DB Hunter Washington looked to be excelling in the drills. I mistakenly said in the video with Jeff that he has been through these before, but he came last summer. So he has not. But he looked like he had.

* WR Joshua Burrell stands out physically. He is another young guy who missed all of last season. Very developed upper body and moved around well.

* WR Malik McClain looked great, but that's nothing new.

* DE Leonard Warner is looking like a DE now after making the move from linebacker. Has definitely packed on some size and still moves well.

* DT Robert Cooper is still a big dude obviously, but looks like he continues to get in better shape.

* OL Darius Washington really excels in these types of drills. He is extremely athletic and stands out from the pack at his position. Also looked like he might have developed his upper body some.

* LB Stephen Dix always looks great physically, and he was leading his group. If he got dejected about losing playing time last fall, you can't tell it. Gives great effort.

* DB Travis Jay is coming off a tough year, but he is so impressive athletically. Really shines in settings like this. Hope for his sake he can put it together this year on the field.

* DE Byron Turner looked to be a full participant after missing last year due to shoulder surgery. Even though he missed that time, it looks like he still has a very strong upper body. Moves well too. Excited to see what he looks like in spring drills.

* OL Lloyd Willis and LB DJ Lundy were among several guys who looked a little leaner

* WRs Pokey Wilson and Keyshawn Helton looked fast and agile, which they should since they aren't big dudes.

* DB Sydney Williams appeared to be a full participant after missing the second half of last season due to injury. He was moving well.

Overall, as Tom and I were just talking about, the team definitely is much bigger and physically impressive than last year and certainly two years ago. On Saturday, we'll see what they look like on a football field.
