Options aplenty at running back for Fisher, Florida State

You may have noticed. Jimbo Fisher and Florida State have quite a bit of depth and talent at running back.

FSU entered spring with five scholarship running backs. Through two weeks, the trio of Jacques Patrick, Cam Akers and Amir Rasul have managed to standout to Fisher. It shouldn't come as any surprise given Patrick is the team's most experienced back while Akers and Rasul are arguably the most promising on the roster.

Having five scholarship running backs allows Fisher to get a better idea of what he has when FSU opens fall camp in August. And as for when FSU does reach fall camp, Fisher will have seven scholarship running backs by the time Khalan Laborn and Zaquandre White arrive.
