PGSF FedEx Cup Week 24 The US Open

I swear i dont know how I talked myself out of Brooks. Read one too many article I guess. Dummy

Brooks shot a -2 and to me it was very impressive for a couple of reasons.
1. He was driving poorly much of the day.
2. He missed 2 or 3 putts he normally makes.
IOW, he was far from at the top of his game, and he's sitting 3 back of the leaders.

If he gets his driving straightened out, look out.

Heck of a round by Rose today

Hope the course , weather get stronger , played soft today

It is still just the first round though. So ............ not counting any chickens. But the weird thing is my 4th pick came down to Xander and Fowler.

Not a bad choice to have to make (at least this week...:D). I debated Rose and Xander and look what its got me...<cue the small stringed instruments, please...).

It is a sure bet that Poulter will be watching the remaining two rounds on TV after that quad on #3 to go to +6.

Pretty good picking, guys...Only one of our choices missed the cut.

Always pick Brooks if it’s a major, as one of your four. That should be a rule on this board :)
For majors we should have Brooks +3 as a standing rule.

It should be just so you get the points, which I will need this week

When we were in our second year (Tigers 1st comeback) there was an idea floated about limiting the number of times a person could pick Tiger which was voted down

**the pgsf fedex cup was started after Tigers 08 US Open Championship as a way to keep cblunt's interest after Tiger broke his leg**

damm didnt see this thread go noles berger and the 2 time champ in the hunt before the baseball game
@boggeymann You should join up for next week. Just look for the new thread (for the Travelers next week) and post your 4 picks before the first players tee off on Thursday.

We're more than halfway through our season, but our standings reset prior to the Tour Championship...so everyone has a chance.

I take a great deal of pleasure in dealing with today's "All Tiger, All the time" coverage by recognizing as he now bogeys 12 that he's nowhere in contention, and the main leaders haven't even teed off yet.

Boy, Woodland's playing lights out...Damned shame none of us picked him.

He's playing so well, I can't even jinx him.

My guess is Woodland comes back down to earth and shoots a 73 tomorrow. Meanwell Brooks shoots a 66 and Justin Rose shoots a 69 and so they have to go to a playoff. Stay tuned!

Woodward had some outrageous par saves today. I would doubt he gets those tomorrow if he gets into those kinds of situations again.

Personally I like CBS's coverage best.

One thing different Fox has done is show very different camera angles of the course that we have never seen before that I recall.

Great start to the day for Gary and Brooks
this could be a great finish

3 wood at 13 by Woodland is shot of the tournament thus far

290 3 wood 250 3 iron-the guy can hit a golf ball
10 less yards on the carry that 3 iron may be perfect

Kudos to Gary Woodland.
I didn't think he would stand up to the pressure.
Shows what I know.
I thought it would be Rose and Koepka battling down the stretch.

Not many first timers can handle the Sunday pressure. He did!

Well, that was an exciting day of golf. Very impressed with Woodland, keeping his composure to get his 1st major win.

In the PGSF, ed uses Xander , Justin and Brooks to get his 6th win of the season
Congratulations to this weeks winner @seminoleed

An excellent tournament and 4th round. Brooks gave it a good try. Gary was better.

Congrats Ed.
